About us

A neighbourhood heating and cooling company

Homely House HVAC keeps local homes warm in winter and cool in summer. We're a small team of licensed technicians. We quote every job before we start, and we'll tell you honestly whether a repair or a replacement makes more sense.

Why "Homely House"?

We wanted a name that sounds like a warm house on a cold night. Our customers are our neighbours. We see them at the hockey rink and the hardware store, so we want every one of them to be glad they called us.

That shapes how we work. You get a two-hour arrival window and your technician's name, and they call before they arrive. They show you what's wrong and write down the price before touching anything. If the furnace has years left in it, we'll tell you, even when a new one would be a bigger job for us.

What do we stand for?

We hold every visit to these eight promises, whether it's a filter check or a new furnace.

Promise 1

Neighbours first

We treat every home like it belongs to someone we'll see at the grocery store, because it probably does.

Promise 2

Honest work, honest prices

Clear quotes and no scare tactics. If a repair will do the job, we won't sell you a new system.

Promise 3

Show up like we said we would

On time, boot covers on, and the workspace left clean when we go.

Promise 4

Warmth for everyone

Every winter we donate furnace tune-ups and emergency repairs to seniors and families who are struggling.

Promise 5

Hire local, grow local

We train apprentices from our own community and buy from local suppliers whenever we can.

Promise 6

Teach, don't upsell

We explain what's happening with your system so you can make your own decisions.

Promise 7

Care for the air we share

We recommend efficient systems and recycle old equipment and refrigerants properly.

Promise 8

Stand behind it

If something isn't right, we come back and make it right.

What is Warmth for Everyone?

Warmth for Everyone is our winter giving program. Each year we set aside technician time for free furnace tune-ups and emergency repairs for seniors on fixed incomes and families going through a hard stretch. Neighbours can nominate someone, and people can apply for themselves.

Know someone who could use a hand?

Nominations open on November 1 each year and we work through them until the spring thaw.
